Phuket offers both beachfront and hillside resort properties. Beachfront venues provide the iconic Thailand wedding aesthetic — ceremony on white sand, reception with ocean views — but require more careful weather contingency planning. Hillside properties often offer more dramatic elevated views and more protected event spaces, which can be operationally useful for multi-day events with outdoor evening functions.

Every resort has an in-house venue coordinator, but this person manages the property's general event calendar — not your wedding specifically. Your independent planner is the one managing your event from your perspective. Understanding this distinction before signing the venue contract prevents the common misunderstanding where couples assume the resort coordinator is serving their interests when they are primarily serving the resort's.
